Ethan's last soccer game was on Saturday. I can't believe it's already over! During the last game, his team really started getting the hang of things and many of the kids that weren't getting into the game earlier in the season started "showing up" for the game, including Ethan! Ethan had several times that he got control of the ball and dribbled it all the way down the field and right up to the goal, only to almost get a goal. He kind of assisted another kid on his team to get the ball into the goal one time, and the other two times, he lost control of the ball to a player on the other team, right as he got in front of the goal. But none the less, we were proud of him for getting his feet on the ball that much in the game! It was exciting to watch and only made us wish they had more games this season. We can look forward to next year though, as he says he would like to play again next year.
Saturday afternoon there was an awards ceremony for all the Upward Soccer participants, which was very nice. They had a magic show for the kids, and also gave out awards. Ethan got a nice trophy engraved with his name and everything. What a great end to a great soccer season! It was fun!
