January 2008 - Catching Up

Well, feel like I haven't posted in forever, even though I think it's only been a few weeks. We had Mama and Papa Brisken's dog, Bonnie, come and stay with us for a week, and Ethan and Caleb enjoyed playing with her in the house! I think Bonnie had fun too, even though she couldn't get a moment to herself when she was out of her kennel. And we got snow! Last Thursday, there was even enough snow to make a little snowman on our kitchen table placemat. And Ethan enjoyed going out with Daddy to clear the snow off the cars and play for a little while - but it was pretty cold, so he didn't stay out long. And tonight, I just took a few pics of the boys and us playing around the house. Caleb is quite the little piano player on the Alligator piano, and Ethan and Daddy had fun setting up his massive train set that he doesn't get to keep set up every day! Enjoy the pictures!

My Treadmill Arrived!

I am so excited!!! My treadmill arrived today all in one piece, with no damage - I had been a little nervous ordering it from a company online and it having to ship all the way from California. But Praise the Lord that I was one of the happy customers from this company . . . so far at least! Scott put it together for me tonight, green Christmas bow and all on the front. :-) And I already walked 30 minutes on it tonight, and it is wonderful! Very sturdy, even when I jogged a little for a short time on it. I am really looking forward to trying to get back in shape again, since I ate way too many holiday goodies over the last several weeks! Here's to the New Year and getting in shape again!!!!

I can't believe it is 2008 now! Ethan will turn 4 years old on February 3rd this year, and I can't believe how old that makes me feel. It doesn't seem like 4 years ago that I was having my first child! And Caleb will turn 2 years old in August. Now, Caleb's birthday I am looking forward to a little more. He is very challenging these days with temper tantrums from not being able to express in words what he wants. I am hoping that as he approaches 2 years old, his vocabulary will increase also! I am also looking forward to my new treadmill that I ordered with my Christmas bonus from work arriving in the next several days. It is so cold out lately, that it has been hard to continue my exercise regimen. I am hoping I can get back on track soon, since my sister will be getting married this August, and I would like to be a little slimmer for the wedding! Our Christmas and New Year's holidays were nice spending time with family, as both of my sisters got to come for the last several days. Now, everyone is going their separate ways soon, and I am off to work again tomorrow morning to start a new year there! Here is a pic of my sisters and I on New Year's Eve.
