21 weeks preggo with baby GIRL!!!

I'm 21 weeks pregnant . . . and we're having a GIRL!!!  We had an ultrasound this past Monday and found out that PINK will be introduced into our household.  I can hardly believe it. . . I had the ultrasound tech check a few times to be sure.  The boys knew all along, even before I was pregnant Caleb was talking about a real baby sister.  And every time we would ask Ethan and Caleb if they thought the baby was a boy or a girl, they would say girl.  Now, thinking back through my pregnancy, I can notice some differences between this one and the ones with my boys.  All could be attributed to different things, but for me, these were the differences.  I definitely felt more sick during the first trimester with this pregnancy, I have been 10x more emotional this go around, I haven't craved as much sweet stuff but instead have wanted fruit and yogurt or healthier options than chocolate and ice cream.  :-)  I also had a lot of heavy nosebleeds in the beginning months.  And my skin has broken out terribly this pregnancy, whereas with the boys my skin got clearer and nicer while pregnant.  Just a few observation differences for me . . . Now begins the decorating of the nursery and stocking up on girl clothes.  YAY!!!

Soccer Boys

Last Saturday was Ethan's first Upward Soccer Game of this season.  This makes season #3 for him, and he is only 6!  Can't you just tell the joy that soccer brings him?  The above pics are of him running through the famous tunnel at the beginning of the game when they announce all the players' names.  He really likes putting on a show!

He was only in the game about 10 seconds and started dribbling the ball down to the goal, and scored the goal!  The first one for his team this season!  He was so fast, that I didn't even get a picture or video, but my mother in law got these great "before" the goal and "after" the goal pictures.
We have been told by Ethan's coaches that he really has a lot of talent, and I must agree!  But more than the goals he scores, or how well he plays, I really just love to see how happy soccer makes him!  There's always room for fun on the field in Ethan's eyes!
And Caleb was old enough this year to play on a team, however, he would not commit and said he didn't want to play on a team, but only in his backyard.  He loves to play with his brother in the backyard, as well as at Ethan's soccer practices and games on the sidelines.  I think he would really do quite well at it also if he played, but I wasn't going to force it.  Maybe next year!  Here are some pics of him still wanting to wear soccer shoes and playing on the sidelines during the game.

New Shorter 'Do

I haven't had my hair cut in forever, and it's grown really fast since I've been pregnant.  I was originally going just to get it trimmed up a little this morning, but sort of changed my mind on the way there.  That's the trouble with being pregnant this time for me . . . I cannot make up my mind about anything and am constantly changing it!  Anyway, I decided I wanted a shorter 'do, so I went for it!  I'm happy with it!

New Roof

We had some hail damage from storms back in the Spring time, and were able to get a new roof paid for (minus deductible) from our insurance company.  Our friend, Clay, and his company, CG Home Improvement did the work.  We are very happy with it!  The color of the shingles is a little darker than it was before, but it really brings out the red in our shutters and gives the house more character, being the architectural kind of shingles.

10th Anniversary Weekend Trip to Charleston

We went to Charleston, SC over Labor Day Weekend to celebrate our 10th anniversary. Although our actual anniversary was on July 1st, we planned our special trip over the long weekend. Scott proposed to me back on Nov. 6th, 1999, so it was neat to go back for a weekend, just us to celebrate!

We love to eat at great restaurants in Charleston!

On the dock at Battery Park, view from where Scott proposed to me

Looking out at the new bridge that was built several years ago . . . it wasn't there when Scott proposed to me

Eating at A.W. Shucks . . . Scott with his exotic seafood steampot for 1 meal

Me with my non-exotic, traditional chicken fingers, fries, & hushpuppies

Drove out to Isle of Palms beach after dinner to walk on the beach

Me, 18 weeks pregnant . . . 10 years of marriage, 2 kids, and 1 on the way!

My cute hubby

Us at Isle of Palms beach . . . we are still happy 10 years later!  :-)  Hard to believe it's been that long!  I pray for many more great years together!
