Halloween and More Sickness

Well, Halloween this year came with some more sickness . . . unfortunately, Ethan and I both were diagnosed with Strep Throat yesterday. I feel bad, but Ethan hasn't been affected much. His was only a "slight positive" whereas mine kept me up all night before I went to the doctor yesterday morning. Luckily we're both on antibiotics and starting to feel better. Just pray Scott doesn't get it and Caleb doesn't re-get it! We went to our church's fall festival last night, and tonight we just let the boys dress up again and we went out to dinner to escape the madhouse that ensues in our neighborhood on Halloween night! Here is a picture of the boys in their costumes! You can also check out more recently added pictures at www.famof4brisk.shutterfly.com

  1. What's the madness in your neighborhood? Are you a lights-off house during trick-or-treating hours?

We had some sickness dampering our Halloween as well. A family that gets sick together, stays together I guess!

  2. Kyndra, it is just crazy busy in our neighborhood on Halloween night because lots of kids are brought in by their parents that don't live in the neighborhood, so there are a lot more people trick-or-treating than just our own neighborhood kids. We tried giving out candy the first year we lived here, but ran out in about 20 minutes! After that, we just leave for the evening to avoid all the traffic (parents are lazy and drive beside their kids as they go from house to house!) Yep, our lights stay off now. :-) For now, the boys got plenty of candy at the festival our church had the night before!
