Alaina and I went up to VA for a weekend in June to celebrate my sister, Stacy's baby shower, anticipating the arrival of her 3rd child (1st son), due in about a week from now! It was fun having Mommy, daughter time, and Alaina had fun with her girl cousins, Wendy and Serena, and with baby cousin, Cooper. Ethan and Caleb had fun spending the weekend back in SC with Mama and Papa Brisken and Daddy, even going to a baseball game for the Greenville Drive!
Summer nights have been pretty low key around our house. We've enjoyed hanging out in our backyard each night (when it's not too hot) or heading to the pool sometimes, when it is too hot.
The boys enjoyed going to a week long Upward summer soccer camp at a local church also.
I'm still having fun styling Lainey's growing hair into pigtails and bows, when she will let me!
Lainey is still just as busy, busy, busy as ever! And too cute for words, in my opinion! (I can say it because I'm her Mommy!)
Ethan and Caleb got to go on a trip to Ohio for my Mom's side of the family's reunion with my parents. After my trip to VA, I didn't feel like Lainey and I could make the long trip so soon, but I knew the boys would enjoy it, and they did have a great time! Before they left though, they had to do one last dance with Lainey. They are such good big brothers, dancing to her favorite DVD, "Get Up and Dance," before they left that morning. The house was so quiet without them, Scott, Lainey, and I didn't hardly know what to do with ourselves!
This past Friday, I took the boys and their friend to the pool on my day off while my Mom stayed home with Lainey while she napped. But we got rained out, so I decided to take them to Pump It Up (jump place) for some pop in play time. They all had fun and got lots of energy out!
And here's a cute pic I got today . . . Caleb being a Cool Dude with his sunglasses on before leaving for church this morning.
So, that is the quickest update I could do for now with only having pics available from my phone (got a new laptop because my old one is on it's last leg). I kind of like this automatic picture load from my phone to google + and then being able to use those pictures for my blog. Makes blogging a lot faster! :-)
